Ric Metcalfe - Labour Candidate For Glebe Ward
Ric Metcalfe - Labour Candidate For Glebe Ward

Ric has represented Glebe Ward since 1982 and has a well-deserved reputation of being a hard working local councillor committed to supporting all of the communities across the area.

As Leader of the Council he served as a powerful voice in getting the council to focus on the things that matter most to people in Glebe Ward.

Ric says:

“ I have been extremely proud to represent Glebe Ward since 1982. I believe strongly that local councillors must work hard for the people they represent, stand up for their interests and keep fighting for improvements that local people want to see in their communities”

When not doing Council work, Ric enjoys time with his partner, grown up children and grandchildren, teaches part-time at the University of Lincoln, loves allotment gardening and plays the jazz trumpet for fun.

Some of the things Ric will be campaigning for on behalf of local people:

  • More, and better paid jobs
  • More affordable homes for people to rent
  • Support for people with health & disability problems
  • Keeping our streets & open spaces clean & safe
  • Listening to the concerns of our young people about climate change
  • Listen to local people and act on their concerns
